Church Records

Madron

In the vestry we have a bound copy of baptisms, marriages and deaths complete for 1830 – 1900; the material was downloaded from another church records site ! See Links for ‘West Penwith Resources’

We also have a laminated map of the churchyard (closed in 1832) showing graves and with an alphabetical list of names alongside. Sadly, many of the graves shown are no longer marked by stones.

We do not keep old registers in our safe; we hand them in to the County Records Office in Truro where they are kept at an even temperature and away from damp.

Gulval

Gulval has a complete map of graves in upper and lower churchyards and details of burials. Our churchwarden Jan de Vries is the best person to contact. For marriages and baptisms, you must contact the County Records Office in Truro.
