May 20th         Gulval          Sunday after Ascension

O God, the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: we ask you not to leave us comfortless but to send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before, who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. AMEN.

Readings          Acts 1.15-17,21-end     John 17. 6-19

Today has been designated by our bishop and Steve Wild as a day of prayer for Cornwall.

Christian Aid Coffee Morning at the hall raised £191 on Wednesday, a great effort. Envelopes are available in church today if you wish to use them. If you take one away, please return it ASAP.

Holy Communion (said) is here on Wednesdays at 10.30am

Thanks to those who helped on the churchyard clear up yesterday, and for Ivor for removing the tree stump

Donations wanted, please, for Cornish food (pasties, splits & cream and saffron cake) being provided at the Jubilee Lunch in the hall on Sun 3rd June. The Songs of Praise service which precedes it will be here.

No flowers for Pentecost please as we shall have flowers for Annie Williams wedding (Lil’s daughter)

Home groups continue on Monday. A short series on the things which spoil churches – from 1 Corinthians -  Mondays 10am at 7 Pendrea Road.

Table Top Sales have now stopped.

God our redeemer, you have delivered us from the power of darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of your Son: grant, that as by his death he has recalled us to life, so by his continual presence in us he may raise us to eternal joy; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. AMEN.

Pray for Fred Goldsmith, Joan Hosken, Margaret Lawrence, staff and residents in Ponsondane and Trevaylor, and for those unable to get to church, also for Diocesan Synod next Saturday, and for parishes vacant.

Annual Reports are available in full colour for everyone – a look back on last yr, a look forward and information as to who does what in the church. Thanks for all you have given to the church in many ways over the last year, and special thanks to my hard-working colleagues.

The PCC remains unchanged apart from the welcome addition of Christina.
